I have the same problem with ubuntu kernel 3.2.0-41-generic-pae

after doing

sudo apt-get install paraview

I get

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done

or been moved out of Incoming.

                     tclsh but it is not installable

            Depends: libqt4-help (>= 4:4.5.3) but it is not installable
            Recommends: mpi-default-bin but it is not going to be installed
            Recommends: paraview-python but it is not going to be installed
            Recommends: paraview-doc but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
