Public bug reported:

Naturally, a lot of PPA's don't make reference to all the software
packages they contain; less do they make reference to the specific
software package in the PPA you installed the PPA for to begin with; so,
I propose:

Let comments be added for sources through add-apt-repository, perhaps
something like:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:software-archive --comment "Mind-controlled
text editor"

That way when I browse my software repositories, I don't have to look up
the PPA to see what it contains.

** Affects: software-properties (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags: add apt comment description ppa repository
