The bug I was reporting is actually specific to the Lubuntu LiveCD. I filed bug 1201101. This one can probably be closed, either because the original report affects no longer supported releases, or because it is fixed in subsequent releases. I was able to install Kubuntu and Xubuntu from their respective LiveCD, although I had to fix the EFI partition after that, probably because of a quirk in the BIOS of my SONY Vaio Pro 13. Assuming the EFI partition is in /dev/sda1, this is what I had to do:
sudo su mount /dev/sda1 /mnt cd /mnt/EFI cp -a ubuntu Boot cd Boot mv grubx64.efi bootx64.efi HTH -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906045 Title: installer crashed grub-efi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/906045/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
