I'm using Enterprise Login for some months now, so I can give you a feedback. 
As far as I see, it doesn't work the way you think or I thought. Enterprise 
Login has no impact on the way you log in into the system. It is just a way to 
get an authentication token on the AD.

Here are the steps I work with Enterprise Login:
- Log into my Ubuntu workstation with my local credentials
- Go to System Settings -> GOA
- If the AD (Enterprise Login) credentials have been expired, just update them 
by clicking "Log In"
-> That's all, I can browse my company network shares.

My main problem is the AD credentials get expired about once a day, and
I have to run these steps every day, a bit annoying. But it works pretty
well.
