Tried detecting new hardware in Vista but still could not find the DVD/CD-rom. The DVD/CD-rom could run a live disc of Linux but there was no DVD/CD-rom hardware in the Ubuntu or Vista partitions. Lenovo suggested going back to the factory defaults which has restored the DVD/CD-rom in Vista. How do I maintain the DVD/CD-rom for Ubuntu?
