matteo sisti sette, as per
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M51Sn&os=17 an
update is available for your BIOS (306). If you update to this, does it
change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of
the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.

** Description changed:

Since some recent update of whoknows what package, ALL video playback on
the internet (e.g. Youtube, Vimeo) is systematically slightly
accelerated. You can notice it because the current time display
increments at higher speed than normal (i.e. a second every a bit less
than a second), and because the pitch of audio is higher.

This is 100% systematic, all the time, reboot doesn't fix the issue. So
this is something different than #1051202
-
- This is a REGRESSION, so please WHATEVER PACKAGE is responsible, please
- ROLL IT BACK IMMEDIATELY to its previous version until a fix is found.
- Don't wait until this bug is fixed, it's too huge to wait even a day and
- it will take ages until it's fixed.
