** Description changed: up-to-date Ubuntu 13.04 with optimus card (intel & nvidia gt 640m) What should happen: Unity launches after entering password in ldm. What really happens: clickable desktop (with icons) appears without unity topbar or launcher upon lauching TTY1, and running unity manually, unityshell segfaults Thinking it was related to my video card, after tinkering the system for a few days, I ended up purging nvidia and bumblebee. I reinstalled nouveau and later replaced nouveau with nvidia-304 and bumblebee. The system works fine except unityshell that still segfaults, even after trying the one in daily ppa. What info do you need to debug this?
