Public bug reported:
I am running Kubuntu 13.04 on an HP Pavillion Elite HPE 240f with a 64
bit AMD64 processor. It is a dual boot configuration with Windows 8.1
Preview. I use Google's Chromium as my default browser in Linux. On
virtually every page I go to, I get a notification to instaLL UNITY
WEBAPPS PLUGIN. If I click "install plug-in" it downloads a file into
my "home/downloads/" directory. I get a box asking me to Discard or
Keep. No matter what I select, nothing happens. I have dozens of
copies of this crap now. If I select Problems Installing? from the
notification bar, it takes me to a web page of crap I can't use. I have
closed out and restarted Chromium dozens of times and nothing helps. I
continue to be pestered by this notification bar. I need to get your
crap either installed or killed. I don't care which. This failure to
install error is driving me CRAZY.
