Public bug reported:

update-grub command (which is executed after every kernel update) takes
so long with both Ubuntu and Fedora installed on same machine. Since
grub can't be removed because of some dependencies in kernel package it
is very annoying.

My HDD partitions:
Device Boot Begin End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 2048 2050047 1024000 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 2050048 253708287 125829120 83 Linux
/dev/sda3 253708288 357541887 51916800 83 Linux
/dev/sda4 357543934 488396799 65426433 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 480204800 488396799 4096000 82 Linux swap/Solaris
/dev/sda6 357543936 480204799 61330432 83 Linux

/dev/sda1 is /boot of Fedora
/dev/sda2 is / of Fedora
/dev/sda3 is /home of Fedora
/dev/sda4 is extended partition containing Ubuntu
