I'm also affected by this bug. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 on a
MacBookPro2,2. B-)
I'm comfortable to do some patching to help myself and everyone else,
but I'd like to know what is the best way forward to do this. Add a udev
configuration for "our" webcam, too, and load it with a different USB ID
if it's that device?
