Thanks for your report. For policy reasons (http://www.debian.org/doc
/debian-policy/), which Ubuntu tends to follow as it receives most of
it's packages from Debian, you have to manually activate autojump. This
is documented in /usr/share/doc/autojump/README.debian and README.md.gz
