I can confirm that smbfs is not installed on a new Ubuntu Feisty
installation which prevents mounting samba shares.
The very helpful kernel error is:
CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -22
** Changed in: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)
Status: Invalid => New
