** Description changed: I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 dev with sysklogd 1.5-6.2ubuntu1. sysklogd tries to change the permissions of some files with chown for example /var/log/syslog. But if such a file is missing an eror on booting is - shown. I think sysklogd should first try to create the missing - directories and files if they are missing and then changing the - permissions of them. + shown. I think sysklogd should first try to create the directories and + files if they are missing and then changing the permissions of them.
