Public bug reported:

I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with ecryptfs-utils 103-0ubuntu2 and mount
2.20.1-5.1ubuntu9. I wanted to change the uid of all objects in my home
directory to 0 to remove the ability of my user to change the
permissions anymore (to prevent that the permissions will be changed by
accident/malware). To prevent any troubles I have left the gid untouched
and given all objects enough read/write/execute permissions for my
group.

Theoretically this setup should work fine but it seems ecryptfs-
utils/mount doesn't like this setup. After a reboot and login into the
console with my user I got these errors:

Mount of device (uid: 0) not owned by requested user (uid: 1000)
Reading sb failed; rc = [-1]
mount: operation not permitted

On executing manually ecryptfs-mount-private with my user and typing the
correct passphrase I'm getting this:

Inserted auth tok with sig [***] into the user session keyring
fopen: No such file or directory

To get a working system back I had to set the uid back to 1000 for all
objects in /home/.ecryptfs/sworddragon/.Private

** Affects: ecryptfs-utils (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
