A better method of handling broken dependencies like this is to use the equivs package. Unfortunately, equivs hasn't been updated to support multiarch yet. If you're comfortable applying the patch from Debian bug 692934 to the equivs-build program, you can fake out the dependencies with the .deb built from the following equivs control file:
Section: misc Priority: optional Standards-Version: 3.9.2 Package: libgphoto2-port0 Version: 2.5.2-0ubuntu2~equivs Pre-Depends: multiarch-support Architecture: all Multi-Arch: foreign Description: transitional dummy package for bad dependency in Wine PPA Remove me ASAP! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1207716 Title: wine 1.6 cannot be installed, needs updated to gphoto2-6 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine/+bug/1207716/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
