Ashish, if you execute the following at a terminal, does it provide a 
WORKAROUND:
sudo cpufreq-selector --cpu=0 --governor=powersave

If you switch to xubuntu, is the CPU load lower via
http://xubuntu.org/getxubuntu/ ?
