Unfortunately this bug has been marked as invalid because I'm no longer running Ubuntu on my laptop (as it's my primary workstation and can't deal with these issues), but am now running it in a VM. However, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1210858 is still valid and is a duplicate of this issue.
