HDMI audio was disabled by the upstream kernel developers as it causes blank screens on a lot of systems.
You can re-enable HDMI audio by adding "radeon.audio=1" to your GRUB boot options as described at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2/Troubleshooting#Editing_the_GRUB_2_Menu_During_Boot The NVIDIA driver is not applicable for your hardware. If you want to use a proprietary closed-source driver instead of implementing the fix described above, you want the AMD Catalyst (fglrx) driver. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1049822 Title: [Lenovo e535] - No HDMI Sound Controls in Sound Settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1049822/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
