Public bug reported: Wine packages from the ppa repository do not install properly. This includes all packages for versions 1.5 and 1.6.
Wine says the problem should be reported here. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33804 Ubuntu says the problem should be reported in wine, per the following message: The problem cannot be reported: This is not an official Ubuntu package. Please remove any third party package and try again. ??? I have 13.10 with all upgrades, and a clean Ubuntu install. In fact, I re-installed the whole system. Before I did it, wine upgraded to 1.5. Now it does not, indicating that there has been a regression. This would not be a problem; however, wine 1.4 no longer recognizes sound properly. This is a regression. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1214851 Title: wine packages do not install correctly starting with version 1.5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1214851/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
