** Also affects: indicator-keyboard (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Description changed:

ibus-daemon doesn't automatically start when I log into Unity on Saucy.
- (I have added the indicator-keyboard PPA and dist-upgraded.)

  This creates a few problems:
  - Searching for 'Chinese' in Text Entry Settings shows me Chinese but
switching to it does nothing. If ibus-daemon is running, searching for
'Chinese' shows me Chinese, Chinese (Pinyin) and Chinese (Bopomofo).

  - Once I've added Chinese (Pinyin), if I log out and log back in,
  indicator-keyboard won't start because ibus-daemon isn't running and
it's now needed for one of the configured layouts.

- (indicator-keyboard-service:11152): IBUS-CRITICAL **: ibus_bus_call_sync:
assertion 'ibus_bus_is_connected (bus)' failed
+ (indicator-keyboard-service:11152): IBUS-CRITICAL **: ibus_bus_call_sync:
assertion 'ibus_bus_is_connected (bus)' failed
  Segmentation fault (core dumped)

  - After adding Chinese (Pinyin) and logging back in without ibus-daemon
running, Text Entry Settings doesn't show Chinese (Pinyin). Manually
starting ibus-daemon at this point segfaults Text Entry Settings (gnome-
  control-center)
