Same here for a D-Link DWL-G520+ WLAN card based upon the ACX111
controller for kernel version 2.6.22-9-generic. Has the Ubuntu driver
already been updapted to the mac80211 compatible snapshot available at
http://www.hauke-m.de/fileadmin/acx/acx-20070610.tar.bz2 ?
If not, this might be the reason for the current failure. I have been using
this modified v0.3.36 package successfully on a Fedora development system up to
the latest 2.6.23 kernel snapshots.
However, I haven't had much success with the new generic mac80211 based driver
package, so if the Ubuntu driver is already based on -that- one, then the
current failure is not too surprising either. It's absolutely experimental and
immature.
