Is there any news/fix for this bug? Thank you: I also have a Toshiba Qosmio Q30. Bug description summary: - recording (internal or external mic) has a very loud noise ontop of the signal - this is my main problem since I would like to record using this laptop. Other - alsamixer only shows "Master" "PCM" "Caller ID" and "Off-Hook" - Sound is heard - volume can be controlled for PCM audio ONLY - no other mixer channels can be found or controlled with alsamixer As of today, these Alsa bugs reported remains with Ubuntu version 12.04, 12.11, 13.04.
