@Daniel Barrett I have Debian with Liquorix kernel 3.10.X and this always works for me before inserting usb stick:
sudo bash -c 'echo "never" > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled' I just came to this page and was surprised that there was no trace of "THP" or "hugepages", so I added a comment.
