In my kubuntu 7.04 I have a problem when shutting down. I sometimes get a very
annoying loud beep (for 5-10 seconds).
It comes from the speaker (not the soundcard). I really do not care if the
sound tries to tell me anything (about some error)
It can report it on the screen.
(But it should be quiet - I do not want to wake my children when I shut down or
reboot my computer!)
The kubuntu logo is shown shortly after the sound begins (there are no other
problems than the annoying sound).
The sound remains until power off.
