Public bug reported: I am using ubuntu 12.04.3 with the raring kernel (3.8). I used btrfs- convert to convert a ext4 partitition to btrfs. I tested the new filesystem for a while, but didn't like the performance and wanted to go back with btrfs-convert -r, but neither btrfs-convert or btrfsck where able to do anything with the filesystem.
After upgrading to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/i386/btrfs-tools/0.19+20120328-4 btrfs-convert -r was running nicely. Unfortunately, I lost the exact error message of the old btrfs-convert in the rollback process. It was somethink like the partition not being a btrfs-filesystem.
