Personally, I don't think this is going to happen unless chromium becomes the
default browser. For one thing, chromium is already updated for security
issues: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1198529
Backporting chromium will take more work than FF because chromium doesn't use
bundled libs the way Firefox uses them (e.g. xulrunner).
That's just my guess (and stranger things have happened), so marking
Triaged/Wishlist.
