It is certainly a bug that we allow you to attempt this combination, but the solution for the end user is simple: "Don't do that, then".
libc6-dev-amd64:i386 and libc6-dev-i386:amd64 aren't designed to be co- installable. If you're on an amd64 system, you want libc6-dev (for amd64 headers) and libc6-dev-i386 (for i386 headers), the cross-arch package won't do you any good. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1219916 Title: package libc6-dev-i386 (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: Versuch, »/usr/include/fpu_control.h« zu überschreiben, welches auch in Paket libc6-dev-amd64 2.17-0ubuntu5 ist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eglibc/+bug/1219916/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
