Please provide the following information if your touchpad works after boot:
1. Open a terminal and enter the following commands:
 $ dmesg > ~/dmesg_ok
 $ cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log ~/Xorg.0.log_ok
 $ cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/proc_bus_input_devices_ok
 $ uname -a > uname-a.log
 $ cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
 $ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
2. Attach your ~/dmesg_ok, ~/Xorg.0.log_ok, ~/proc_bus_input_devices_ok, 
uname-a.log, version.log and lspci-vvnn.log to this bug report.

And the following information if your touchpad doesn't work after boot:
3. Open a terminal and enter the following commands:
 $ dmesg > ~/dmesg_fail
 $ cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log ~/Xorg.0.log_fail
 $ cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/proc_bus_input_devices_fail
4. Attach your ~/dmesg_fail, ~/Xorg.0.log_fail and 
~/proc_bus_input_devices_fail to this bug report.
