I think this is because we're shipping Banshee with a patch to make it use Gstreamer1.0, while the Karaoke and StreamRecorder extensions have not been ported over. Since porting those two extensions ovre to Gstreamer 1.0 is quite complex, nobody has gotten around to it, and I've disabled the extensions in saucy.
