the problem is that the kernel in :
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/gutsy/main/installer-i386/current/images/hd-media/
is not the same as the one in the last cd-image from gutsy

it worked using 
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/gutsy/main/installer-i386/20070308ubuntu8/images/hd-media/

I think there should be a mechanism so that current, always points to the 
kernel used in the last cdrom-image, or there should be another link with the 
name of the cdrom-image...
I think having the last hd-media kernel make no sence, if there is no 
alternative cdrom image corresponding
