I'm also getting similar errors on my Thinkpad T530 with Intel graphics (an Ivy Bridge i5-3210M with HD 4000 graphics chipset I think).
The problems only started when I switched from my dead 1280x1024 VGA monitor to a new 2560x1440 DisplayPort monitor.
