Just as a side note, adding acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'
to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub seems to have fixed the battery charge/discharge state detection that most people are experiencing besides the lid close detection. The fix seems permanent; after about 10 reboots and 15 sleeps, the battery's charge/discharge states are still detected correctly. On top of that, the keyboard backlight started and is still working too :) It adjusts the brightness automatically according to the ambient light. Adjustment from keyboard (Fn+F9, Fn+F10) still has no effect though. I am on the following configuration: -Samsung NP900X4C -Kubuntu 12.04.2 -Kernel 3.10.4-031004-generic -BIOS P08ABK -acpid-2.0.10 The lid close events are still not detected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971061 Title: acpi reports battery state incorrectly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/acpi/+bug/971061/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
