Chromium doesn't need gecko-mediaplayer. In fact, I'm able to view the Phoronix site on Chromium 31 without gecko-mediaplayer. In addition, Chromium isn't a Gecko browser; it's a Webkit browser. Firefox and Wine's version of Internet Explorer are based on Gecko.
I would try going to about:plugins and disabling everything that mentions gecko. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1222749 Title: chromium-browser crashed with signal 5 in g_object_new_valist() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1222749/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
