Sound is not working on the X61s as the needed alsa drivers is not yet
available.

"Sound, as mentioned, does not work out of the box. It is actually to
blame on the AD1984 codec chip that is not yet fully suported. I
downloaded the latest (11-7-2007) HG version of the alsa-driver package,
did a "./configure", "make" and "make install-modules" (actually I also
made a .deb package here a "dpkg -i -force-all <packagename>" is needed
as you overwrite the alsa modules that came with the kernel!). With this
new driver, sound just works."
