I'd like to help, but it doesn't seem to happen here and the above stack
trace really is next to useless. Not your fault, but so far there is
very little to work with.

Try this, make sure your system is fully updated,
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

then reproduce the problem with Onboard's debug output enabled
$ killall onboard; onboard -ddebug &>onboard-debug.log

and file a new bug report when the crash notification appears.
Attach the debug output "onboard-debug.log" and include as much information as 
you can about the circumstances of the crash, e.g. how to reproduce it or what 
you did immediately before, which application you were working with/switching 
from/switching to, etc..
