** Description changed:

  Hi there,

ports.ubuntu.com does not currently have any AAAA records, making it
  unreachable from ipv6-only networks.
+
+ Ubuntu on embedded devices (beagle bone, arm based) seems to be using
+ ports.ubuntu.com to download packages and security updates. When used to
+ build sensor networks, connecting embedded devices to ipv6 only networks
+ makes sense, as it saves scare ipv4 addresses.

archive.ubuntu.com has been reachable over ipv6 for quite a long time
but does not carry packages for the armhf architecture, unfortunately.

Could anyone add AAAA records to ports.ubuntu.com?

  Thanks in advance!
