Julian Wiedmann, (please correct me if I'm wrong here) commit 4c374af5fdee4bc6b4f5ea96c1a0f0ad7d3566be is in upstream linux-stable [1], and not in Saucy [2]. Hence, if this commit fixes the issue (cursorily it would seem so) wouldn't it not be an SRU, as Saucy's kernel freeze isn't until Oct. 9 [3], but a standard kernel update for a development release?
Nikolai Alexihof, you may want to ping the Ubuntu PPC mailing list [4] about a walkthrough to build a powerpc test kernel with the above commit to see if it addresses this issue, as I have no powerpc kernel build knowledge.
