Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

I'm running compiz on KDE in gutsy development version. There seems no
way to start compiz on KDE during login. Therefore, I created a script
called strtcompiz.sh in ~/.kde/Autostart. The script has

#!/bin/bash

compiz --replace &
sleep 5s
kde-window-decorator --replace &

When I boot up and login to KDE, this script executes and starts compiz.
When compiz starts, it expels the Adept Notifier icon from the system
tray and puts it in a window at the top left corner of the desktop.
Also, sometimes, the Power Manager battery icon in the system tray will
also be displaced, but not always. On a few occasions, the Power
Manager disappeared altogether.

There should be a way to start compiz in kde without disrupting the
system tray.

I have an nvidia video card and am using the default nvidia driver on
gutsy.
