IOPrio is being correctly set - ionice reports best effort 7 (which is
low priority)
Problem confined to Gutsy kernel. Indexing same set of files on feisty
is considerably faster and has no discernible effect on slowing down
other running apps.
This is therefore a critical problem with gutsy kernel - will take this
up with kernel lads
