Symply I closed the lid while on battery power and wen I reopened the lid the computer restarted instead resuming (i tried again and again and did't happened, at least for now :) ) Probably I need a firmware update but I'm using my laptop since 2 years (the first ubuntu installed was 11.10) and this is the first time that a suspend/resume operation went wrong, so I suppose that the new kernel 3.11.0 triggered the bug you highlighted. However I will try to update my BIOS and try again to see if this happens again.
