The branch proposed for ubuntu-ui-toolkit provides me a pretty good solution for what I need. Accessing applicationName is really what I need. For content-hub, the APP_ID from the client is included in the transfer request, done automatically in the hub client API. Right now it does that by getting APP_ID environment variable. Perhaps I should default to using applicationName and fall back to APP_ID from the environment if it isn't set?
