@Paul I'm not sure if this can be made to work... I have to build a test package for someone else this afternoon to log some data when provisioning fails. I would like you to try this out as well.
When provisioning we use three attributes to look up the APN, the SPN ( read from the SIM card ), the MNC ( network code ), and MCC ( country code ). There are two failure cases possible: 1. The SPN is "Straighttalk", and no entries exist in the DB. Could we fix this? Possibly, but in my opinion it's not worth the trouble as none of the other phone OSes seem to deal with MVNO ( hence the instructions on their website ). If this is the case, I'll mark this as Wishlist. 2. The SPN is "T-Mobile", in which case you'll always get the wrong APN. If this is the case, then I'll mark the bug Invalid. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1221969 Title: 3g data not working with Straightalk (MVNO) SIM To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1221969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
