Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gfxboot

With gutsy 20070808 d-i i386, but this has been a problem for some time:

When the cd boots, it presents a menu of available options. If the user
knows which one they want, they will (for example) press Enter
immediately when the menu appears.

However, at this point (on my system at least) the keyboard is not
properly sensitive and the keystroke is ignored. One has to wait for
the F1... etc. information to appear at the bottom of the screen.

The menu should be printed only after arrangements have been made to
start buffering input keystrokes.

** Affects: gfxboot (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
