I have formated hard drive and installed following OS's to fully test
this camera:

* Ubuntu 12.04.3 32bit - camera doesn't work with default 3.2.0-45 kernel, but
works fine with 3.12.0
* Ubuntu 12.04.3 64bit - camera doesn't work with default 3.2.0-45 kernel, but
works fine with 3.12.0
* Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander (development branch) - camera works with
default 3.11.0-8 kernel and also with 3.12.0
* windows 7 32 bit - camera works with no additional drivers

For each of scenarios where camera worked (including windows) moving laptop
leed makes camera go offline.
Therefore I think that this is hardware related, and simply camera cable is on
it's way. Laptop leed must have been closed and open too many times on this
model. Moving laptop leed back to original possition enables camera back, but
only sometimes (for both Linux and Windows)

So looks like this camera worked initially with Oneric, got broken at
some point before 12.04 and now is fixed again in 13.10 ( and possibly
13.04)

I am changing status to “fix released” as latest kernel fixes it.

Is it still worth doing bisect to find out when it was fixed?

Greetings

Dariusz
