Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a number of apps
2. Navigate to the applications lens
3. Long press on a preview in the recent app scope
4. An (X) will appear over each preview, tap a preview to close the app
5. It is now impossible to make th (X)s disappear and attempting to open any
app from the recent apps scope will just close it.
Expected result: If you tap the screen outside of the previews, swipe to
a different lens, or open a new app the (X)s should disappear and you
should be able to open apps from the recent apps scope.
