Hi Jeremy, > And the next commit (1.11.1522) has ibus-mozc-chewing and ibus-mozc- pinyin dropped without explanation.
ibus-mozc-chewing and ibus-mozc-pinyin have never been built in Debian or Ubuntu as I as I know. ibus-mozc in the package implies ibus-mozc- japanese. No impact on Debian or Ubuntu packaging, I think. > The Release History says that ibus support is in maintenance mode as of 1.11.1502. issue 194 says: As a short term effect, most of ChromiumOS specific code will be removed from ibus-mozc soon. This should not affect existing ibus-mozc users on GNU/Linux. http://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=194 In the next upstream release(not yet released), Ubuntu and Debian should consider future of ibus-mozc maintenance. But in this release, ibus-mozc works well. If you have anything else which isn't clear, please let me know. ** Bug watch added: code.google.com/p/mozc/issues #194 http://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=194 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228639 Title: mozc on saucy missing ibus 1.5 capable patches To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mozc/+bug/1228639/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
