Atempting to boot the live-cd mentioned in #4.
Booting removing 'quiet' and 'splash'.
Booting with addition of 'debug='
Boot will start and text will change as framebuffer kicks in and changes
the resolution. Then the following error appears.
+REASON=No init found. Try passing init= bootarg. PS1=(initramfs)
