gconf2 is still actively used and I couldn't find a viable way to get
rid of that dependence without causing issues. I don't see why we would
need to remove the dependence on gconf2, but if someone can come up with
a reason why, and a way to do it, this is certainly open to discussion.
But for this development cycle (Saucy) it seems best to just leave this
alone.
