Hi, Yes I can confirm that with my machine that there are no longer artifacts as of Feisty. However my machine is no longer a standard install. I am using the radeon driver, and several switches. I can provide a copy of my xorg.conf if you like. I also want to point out that initially the artifacts appeared only in certain themes, in particular the default Human theme.
This card is a rotten choice for my Sony Vaio as it lacks the memory to initiate 3D due to the 1400 x 1050 panel installed. However I believe that it gets around this by using apgart to share memory with the system. Unfortunately this fails during the loading of X and hence there is insufficient RAM for 24 bit color DRI.
