Thanks so much!!! That indeed eliminated the clutter in kernel logs!
I had added this line to syslog to prune out the messages from
syslog (but not the kernel logs)
:msg, contains, "wl_cfg80211_get_station : Could not get " ~
I can now remove this and live in peace with the stock syslog
configuration!

PS: The page at the link you sent is so confusing! They don't list a
clickable file name anywhere, and have the mirror names instead, which
actually link to the files.
